Who we are...
By Dionne Bacon, the founder of Cuddles A Plenty.
We are a family-run business with a lifelong love of animals and plenty of experience caring for a wide variety of furry friends.
Over the years, our family has included many much-loved animals—from the smallest (tropical fish) to the largest (a horse!), with all sorts in between, including hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, cats, a gecko, a pony and, of course, dogs!
Cuddles A Plenty was first established in 2013 as a home-based pet-sitting service. In 2016, we expanded into our doggy daycare centre, which was a dream come true.
Although the business has grown, we have always maintained the same welcoming, home-from-home values. Our centre now offers plenty of room for dogs to play, with separate play areas so they can remain within their favourite friendship groups without feeling under pressure to mix with every dog. Puppies also have their own dedicated area.
We also have a retail shop offering natural, healthy treats alongside environmentally friendly and ethically produced toys and accessories. Regular bookings are welcome, as are bookings on a more occasional basis, subject to availability and each dog’s individual needs. At Cuddles A Plenty, our aim is to provide a one-stop service for everything dog-related, with their happiness, safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. We are also proud to encourage traineeships, apprenticeships and employment opportunities for young and local people—giving our customers complete peace of mind while supporting our community.
